Flutter app development

Flutter, from the people who build it.

I have worked in Flutter since it was released, and I publish five open-source packages for it. The largest, pin_code_fields, is downloaded about 400,000 times a month and runs in production in thousands of apps. With the devmonks team I build new Flutter apps, add senior Flutter engineers to existing teams, and take over Flutter apps that have stalled.

What we build

Flutter work we take on

  • New apps for iOS and Android from one codebase, and the web where it fits.
  • Two-sided products: a customer app and a provider app sharing one backend, as we did for GetEase in Amsterdam.
  • Apps built against an existing backend team's APIs, as for Healthy Longevity Café in Prague.
  • AI features inside Flutter apps, built on OpenAI's platform with the cost and failure cases handled.
  • Senior Flutter engineers joining an existing team on a monthly retainer.
  • Takeovers of Flutter apps that no longer build, fail store review, or that a previous team left behind.

Why it holds up

Package-author standards, applied to your app

Publishing a package that thousands of apps depend on teaches discipline a single app never will: an API that stays stable, behaviour that is the same on every platform, and changes that do not break someone else's release. pin_code_fields scores 160 of 160 pub points and runs on iOS, Android, the web and the desktop platforms. Your app is built to the same bar.

We are AI-accelerated and engineer-verified. Models speed up the routine parts of the work; an engineer reads, tests and signs off every change before it ships.

Rescue

Flutter apps that have stalled

A Flutter app left alone for a year usually breaks in predictable ways. These are the ones we fix most often.

  • It no longer builds after a Flutter, Dart, Xcode or Gradle upgrade.
  • Apple or Google have started rejecting new releases.
  • Packages it depends on are abandoned or have breaking changes.
  • The previous developer is gone and nobody can run it locally.
  • It was generated quickly, by a low-code tool or with AI, and does not hold up with real users.

Process

How a Flutter project runs

  1. 01

    Discovery

    Before the estimate

We work out what the app has to do, map the backend and infrastructure it needs, and choose an architecture that will not need a rebuild later.

  2. 02

    Estimate

    Mostly fixed price

New builds are mostly fixed price after discovery, estimated from the total effort with AI-accelerated work built in. Team extension runs on a monthly retainer.

  3. 03

    Build

    Every couple of days

Daily updates, a demo every week and a fresh build on staging every couple of days, on real devices you can install yourself.

  4. 04

    Launch and support

    One month free

We take it through App Store and Google Play review, then support it free for a month, followed by a retainer that keeps it running and growing.

Questions

Questions founders ask

Is Flutter the right choice for my app?

For most products that need iOS and Android from one team, yes. One codebase keeps the two apps in step and halves the work of every change. When an app depends on the camera, on-device processing or deep Apple integration, native Swift is the better call; discovery tells you plainly which applies.

Can you take over a Flutter app another team built?

Yes. A paid two-day audit comes first; if we fix rather than rebuild, most of the fixes land in the first week.

Can you add Flutter engineers to my existing team?

Yes, on a monthly retainer, working in your repository, your tools and your review process.

Who builds it?

The devmonks team, led by me. I set the architecture and review the work that matters.

Tell me about the app.

New idea, a team that needs more hands, or an app that stopped building: a first call is free, and you leave with a clear next step.
